The flight from Morocco had stops in Istanbul then Sharajah, so I was very jet lagged when I got in but I have already been able to visit Latima bank which has been really useful. It gave a great insight into Nepalese microfinance and the restrictions and challenges it faces. Interestingly Nepal has exceptionally high repayment rates so I will try and find out why this is!
I had a last minute cancellation two days ago which was very disappointing but then I managed to go white water rafting on that day so it was a very good silver lining and the scenery from the bus journey was amazing (even though the roads and driving were very shadey).
Tomorrow and Sunday I will be very busy travelling to 2 more remote rural areas which use different microfinance institutions and it will be really interesting to see the differences and also to see the rural way of life here.
