In the morning that I left Immouzer I found time to climb one of the mountains (which was fairly small) in the Atlas mountain range and there was a stunning view of Immouzer, the country side and the mountains for miles in every direction.
Leaving Immouzer to Fes I found myself in what is known as a "grand taxi", however the taxi lived up to its name neither in space or grandeur but was impressive for fitting a huge amount of people in a single car. From Fes, where I stayed overnight, I made my way to Casablanca where I stayed with a Russian girl named Daria and a local Moroccan Mohammed. They were both lovely and really cool taking me to the Hassan the 2nd mosque which was very impressive and is the 2nd biggest in the world and also treating me to really nice Moroccan food and company!
Today, with a lot of getting lost, I made my way to MEDA Maroc which is a Canadian not for profit organisation which focuses in Morocco on youth microfinance. It doesn't distribute micro loans but has worked in partnership with 3 large microfinance institutions to create youth accessible loans and training packages (both for the companies workers and the youth recipients of loans). Elena at MEDA was very useful and had helped me in some background work of microfinance in Morocco when I was planning my visit so I want to say thank you to her.
Tomorrow is my last full day in Morocco and at the moment I have nothing specific planned so I think I will explore Casablanca and talk to business owners about microfinance while I'm at it. This does have the side effect of being invited to have a sweet mint tea, which Moroccans are very fond of, by almost everyone you have a conversation with but I can't say I mind at all!
On Sunday I head to Nepal and I'm really excited to see Kathmandu and Pokhara as I've heard they are both amazing places (hopefully it won't be too rainy!).
I'm going to try and write these blog entries more often from now on as when I get round to it I seem to be writing small essays!
